The Watchtower art department strikes again!!! LOL

please have a look at the white horse on page 91 of rev climax book(the horse that jesus is riding).

this horse is what a horse should look like.

(don't look at it too long or you may be tempted) now look at the same white horse on page 23 of the feb 15th 2008 wt.

During my last several years in Bethel, I got to know most of the Art Department since I was VERY close to them... that's all I'll say. Their lives revolved around production and it could be very frustrating for them. From the painting/drawing side, they would be given much more time to do artwork for books. Often, years are spent on writing and design. Consequently, the Revelation book has a superior, much more accurate illustration.

The Watchtower, however, appears to have been done by one of the lesser experienced artists, particularly at horses. For the artists, they have a large but limited number of images to search through to use as a basis for the painting. I would guess the designer wanted a new piece done for the new light page, rather than recycle existing artwork. Artist A is busy on the next book, etc. So, they go all the way down to artist Q. He does it. The designer says that it needs to be narrower and more aggressive looking. Patch job rushed for deadline. Artist scrambles to meet deadline. Picture suffers.

Yes, left front leg appears to bend the wrong way forward. Horses head doesn't look right at all. I've seen lots of horses and that is one butt ugly horse. Proportions of horses (ponies) and riders and depth of action is out of whack. The dude on the red horse appears to be almost as large as JC although the attempted perspective of the picture puts him well behind. Either the red dude is huge, or the artist goofed. Also, the direction of the light source on the subjects is not consistent. And kinda like Oompa points out, the red dude would make a way awesomer Jesus than the white horseman in the foreground. All in all, it's not the worst piece to come from Art Department. I think it was the True Peace book that had several that were absolutely craptastic!

Anyway, no secret messages of Satanic horses to my knowledge, just rushed and somewhat inexperienced artists trying to keep up with the JW mantra "DO MORE, THE END IS NEAR!! DO MORE, THE END IS NEAR!!..."

I missed jumping on about Losch. Do any of you other Bethel Trained exJWs remember his morning worship comments on this scripture?

(Genesis 3:16) 16 To the woman he said: "I shall greatly increase the pain of your pregnancy; in birth pangs you will bring forth children, and your craving will be for your husband, and he will dominate you."

He talked for a good ten minutes applying the scripture to women craving their husbands with strong sexual desire. He quoted some shrink about how horny women really are, like they're all kinky sex-hungry nymphomaniacs or something. At that moment I thought, "Jah be praised! This may finally be my lucky day to find a cravingsome pioneer sister to remove my JW imposed virginity." And every married brother probably thought, "Why has my wife always said that she was too tired for action?" But alas, every sister in Bethel freaked out over his remarks. Two days later, he used the day text to explain how people make mistakes and that if he makes a mistake he hopes he would be forgiven.

Anybody else there to 'witness' that little GB treasure?

Yep, I'm an ass, too. I could have gone to college, married, had a family, financial stability, and in just a few more years from now been a grandfather.

But I listened attentively throughout the 80s and did as I was told. Now I'm still stuck in for the sake of my family. They seem to be moving closer to the point of saying "ENOUGH" after the pedophile scandal and as the Society demands more subservience and provides nothing but unfulfilled promises in return. Okay, I'm also trying to keep ahold of my inheritance... and I don't mean my "spiritual inheritance".

last monday i get a phone call from this elderly lady i used to know in my old congregation.

she first asked if it was me, then went into full frontal attack, you know, one of these when you feel as if person on the other side would rip your eyes out through the wires if they could.. "blah, blah, blah .. you've been filling s.. (my ex) ears with your propaganda ... blah, blah".

Whew! And here I thought that gossip was only a problem in all the congregations I'd attended. It's evident that gossip and slander could be a problem in every congregation that everyone has attended. Does God know about this?

I had personal experience with Teaching and Writing, so I found Barbara Anderson's story interesting. I never knew her since she'd left before I was on the scene. But I knew Lance and Wendy (maiden name Bryant, I think). Reading what she said explained some things I wondered about in the Writing Department.

The old-timers of the list are Teddy and Brother Barr. Br. Barr (he was typically called Jack, as I recall) and Mildred are a couple of the sweetest, most sincere, and humorous in the Bethel family. Ted and Melita Jaracz have the souls of JW Nazis. They would be delighted to see everyone that doesn't belong to their religion die. Every JW should be uneducated, spending all their time reading the NWT Bible and preaching, and giving every last little bit of cash to the bOrg. And this whole child molestation scandal is just some spiritually weak and perverse children that are making the whole thing up to get some cash. If Jaracz was wrong, I can't imagine that he would actually ever admit it. And Jaracz hates computers... and I think that computers hate him, too.

The others are all newbies. Tony Morris is a really nice brother, but I don't see him as a skilled leader. Jackson and Splane are knowledgable and experienced, but more the 'stay the course, trust Jehovah' type. Herd has strong opinions, which are just opinions, and not great health. Lett, Losch, and Pierce, just struck me as odd.

I imagine that there are fiercely differing opinions on some things. Consequently, I can't see any remedy to things like the child molestation issue. Things can't be acknowledged or changed, they'll just hope that Hover will make those evil children and the Satanic media disappear.

That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it... until I change my opinion.

Oh, and I meant to add that even if it is a genuine 3% increase, that's terribly low. You would think that Jehovah, Jesus, the angels, the resurrected anointed, and the Holy Spirit would be able to crank out 20% growth easy every year. From my view, aside from occasional spurts of zeal, the r&f are getting tired of being hounded to do more. Oh, and you can subtract my 1 for a more accurate figure.

Or maybe they're using Luke 19:40 for new light and are counting rocks as publishers.
